Meeting called to order by Mayor Runningen.
Tax Parcel No. 76000990455-000 was present to protest the valuation on his property relative to neighboring property. The property is being used as retail property. Council will review.
Tax Parcel No. 76000990394-000 and 76000990395-000 were reviewed.
Tax Parcel No. 780-000 objected to valuation for parking lot.
Tax Parcel No. 292-000. Motion by Gottenborg, seconded by Peterson to accept recommendation to minor changes for a portion of the property from two story to one story and adding the garages. Motion passed unanimously.
Motion by Woessner, seconded by Gottenborg to change valuation for Parcel No. 455-000 from office building to retail. Motion passed unanimously.
Thirty-one sales in Pelican Rapids and the median sale was 94%. State requires the assessor to be between 90 to 105% of the sales.
Mayor Runningen explained the process for the City to continue to hold the Board of Review. An elected official must be trained for the process. Another option would be the County holding the meeting.
