CITY OF PELICAN RAPIDS COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES-04-30-07
The City of Pelican Rapids City Council met in a continued meeting on Monday, 04-30-05, at , Council Chambers, City Hall.Mayor Wayne Runningen, Council Members Ben Woessner, John E. Waller, III, and Richard Peterson were present.Council Member David Gottenborg was absent.Administrator Don Solga, Clerk-Treasurer Glenys Ehlert and City Attorney Greg Larson were also present.

Two items to discuss are the City Hall Lease and a water main extension to West Central Turkeys, Inc.
Administrator Don Solga reviewed the lease concerns.He recommended extending the existing lease for 30 days except that the rent will increase to $3,220 for the period of May 1, 2007 through May 31, 2007.
City Attorney Greg Larson also recommended a 30 day extension of the lease agreement so the parties will be able find answers to several questions and concerns.
Council Member Woessner said that if there were going to be language changes to the contract, they should have been presented to the city at the same time as the rent increase was presented.
Motion by Peterson, seconded by Woessner to approve the EXTENSION OF LEASE AGREEMENT FOR CITY HALL.(A complete text of the agreement is part of permanent public record in the city clerk’s office.) Council Members Peterson, Waller and Woessner voted yes.Mayor Runningen abstained.No one voted against.Motion carried.
Administrator Don Solga reviewed an opportunity to loop the water line for 3rd St. NW while relocating the water line at West Central Turkeys, Inc.
Motion by Woessner, seconded by Waller to authorize the work to loop the water line for 3rd St. NW, subject to City Administrator Don Solga’s approval of the cost estimate.Motion passed unanimously.
