Motion passed unanimously.

Council Actions Since Last Meeting:
BBQ PITS – Tuck pointing is done, once the Turkey BBQ is over they will put new tops on it
VETERANS’ MEMORIAL RIVER PARK Gottenborg looked at the two previous laid out plans for the
park. The biggest thing he noted is parking facing the river. The horseshoe pits are no longer used and
people who previously used them are no longer involved. Could they be removed? This would allow for
the path to continue along the retaining wall. Gottenborg feels we can get good-sized trees for a
reasonable price. Solga wants the Board to get some ideas and then ask Council for approval for the
various phases. Gottenborg will get numbers on larger trees to plant. Olson will get estimate on how
much the parking west of the street from the Senior Center will cost. Invite the VFW and the Senior to
attend the July meeting.
Fountain in Mill Pond – Olson is picking it up today and hopefully will put it in this week.
Trees in Peterson Park – A Sandy Cherry tree died over the winter and was cut down. Do we have a plan
to replace trees as they are cut down? Currently no policy, but investigate further.
Flags on Mill Pond Dam – Olson reports that it is a work in progress.
Chairs – started in 2002 CEP kids putting in the chairs. If we “retire” chairs should contact the artists ?
Park Board will look at the chairs in the fall and assess them then. Invite Denise Magnusson to the next
Swimming Pool – pool is running fine. The pool heater is up and working well. Attendance is right on
from last year. There was a concern of older kids in the smaller pool. Olson will look into it.
Park report – the campground in full the last two weeks. Some people have commented on wanting
water and sewer right at the sites. $15 for each of the spots. Will get estimates for water and sewer.
